Testing Print and Play Games

For my GD class we were told to research and explore the types of print and play games that exist and actually test one out and critique its attributes. My good friend Andy and I decided on the game Micropul. Micropul is a simple tiling game, somewhat like GO, but the tiles are only allowed to be placed on certain areas depending on what types of shapes it has on it. Players score pints either by putting their "stones" or rights on areas heavy in catalysts, the points systems of the game and by having lots o leftover tiles when the game concludes. Unfortunately though, this game had many flaws. Fro the print and play site which we looked at, there were little to no examples of decent or basic strategies of the game, nor what are and aren't "good" moves. In addition, there wasn't any type of ruling as to how one places the tiles. When making my tabletop game for this class, I'll be sure to have ample space in the manual for strategies and play styles.
